Afterclass

Features

A jiu jitsu training journal you talk to.

Everything Afterclass does, with the screen it lives on.

  1. Voice recaps

Tap the red button after class and talk it through. Afterclass asks a follow-up only when a detail is missing, then checks in on your goals. Rather type? You can.

  2. Technique notes

Each recap becomes notes: the position, the details, your coach's cues, what went well and what didn't, with the transcript attached. Edit anything.

  3. Quick recall

Questions from your own notes. Answer out loud or tap to see the answer, then say how it went: forgot, partly, or remembered.

  4. A goal for your next class

The one thing you said you'd work on, on your home screen before class, with the bigger goal it's part of. Change it any time, typed or out loud.

  5. Your technique library

Every technique you mention, grouped by position, with how far each has come: seen, drilled, positionals, hit it live.

Progress

Goals, patterns, and your game map.

Keep one goal for next class and up to three bigger ones, each with what your recaps said about it. Afterclass points out what keeps happening across your sessions, with the sessions behind it, and you can say it's not a pattern. The game map shows what you have from each position, and where there's nothing yet.

Every technique

Every detail your coach gave you, kept.

Generic labels like “knee cut” lose the part you'll need. Afterclass fills these in from your recap, without a form, and leaves blank whatever you didn't say. Same name, different setup? They stay two techniques until you say they're the same move.

Names

Coach's cues
