About

Built by a purple belt who kept forgetting.

I made this for myself first.

From the founder

I've trained jiu-jitsu for about five years, and I'm a purple belt. Before that I was a Division I wrestler. I've loved martial arts for as long as I can remember.

The mats changed how I live. They gave me discipline, and they proved something to me: if I keep showing up and stay with it, I get better. Slowly, but for real.

But I kept hitting the same wall. Coach would show a detail that made everything click, and by the next class it was gone. “Something with an underhook.” I tried notebooks and the notes app. I'd keep it up for a week, then stop, and I never reread any of it.

So I started building what I wanted. Talk for a minute on the drive home, and it remembers for me. It asks me about the details before they fade. It gives me one thing to try in my next roll, then asks whether I tried it. Over time it shows me my game, and the holes in it.

What it won't do

Make things up. If you don't remember the finish, your note says so, and it becomes a question for your coach. Coach you. Your coach does that. Show your notes to anyone. There's no feed, audio is deleted after it's transcribed unless you keep it, and you can export everything.

It isn't out yet. If you train and this sounds like something you'd use, join the waitlist and tell me what you'd want it to remember. Replies come straight to me.
